November 7, 2024
Amsterdam, 11 November 2024 – SolidNature is proud to announce a transformative new approach to working with clients through the launch of three distinct pillars, each designed to cater to unique creative and functional needs. Known for high-quality natural stone architectural solutions, SolidNature now expands its offerings with three pillars - Bespoke, Made to Measure, and Ready Made - that bring clients versatile, innovative options to suit projects of every scale. This approach is underscored by a commitment to sustainability.
To bring the vision of these pillars to life, SolidNature introduces Imaginarium, an exclusive design series that invites visionary designers to create immersive digital spaces inspired by each pillar’s essence. The series debuts with its first chapter featuring renowned Dutch designer Marcel Wanders, who has reimagined each pillar through stunning virtual environments that highlight the beauty and versatility of natural stone.
BESPOKE
The Bespoke pillar embodies absolute customisation, from sourcing to on-site installation, project management and dry-lays, perfect for unique projects that require the full SolidNature know-how and honed expertise in making the impossible possible. This pillar comes to life in Wanders’ Forest space. Here, Pink Onyx (Pink Blush) forms the floor, bathtub, washbasin, and sculptural trees, each featuring various refined finishes. The enchanting space draws inspiration from a mystical woodland, where the delicate hues of Pink Onyx create a sanctuary that merges luxury and nature. The polished floor reflects the soft glow of dawn, inviting tranquility, while the polished bathtub provides an oasis of serenity. Each tree stands as a guardian of this ethereal forest, finished in polished, honed, or hammered styles, celebrating the myriad textures of the natural world. A raw, unpolished Relampago marble dresser adds an organic touch, grounding the design in authenticity. This bespoke design exemplifies meticulous craftsmanship and innovation, as SolidNature’s extensive stone collection and expert execution bring the forest-inspired concept to life.
“SolidNature’s Bespoke segment is ideal for this type of project because it specialises in handling complicated challenges, ensuring that even the most ambitious designs can be realised with precision and excellence. SolidNature’s extensive collection of high-quality stones and its ability to execute a wide range of finishes make it the perfect partner for this project. Their expertise and commitment in this bespoke segment to assist throughout the entire process, ensure that the unique and fantastical elements of the Forest interior are brought to life seamlessly. This collaboration highlights both my innovative design approach and SolidNature’s commitment to delivering exceptional bespoke natural stone projects.” Marcel Wanders
MADE TO MEASURE
For projects requiring a tailored yet streamlined approach, the Made to Measure pillar offers expertly crafted solutions with precision and entails all kinds of projects that aren’t necessarily driven by innovation but do require a custom approach. Wanders presents the His & Hers space to represent this, celebrating the duality and harmony found in nature and human relationships. This luxurious environment showcases Greenish Onyx) on the walls with a captivating book-match finish, symbolising the seamless connection between two distinct identities. Polished Pink Onyx pillars stand as elegant sentinels, representing strength and grace, while a polished Grey Marble floor enhances the airy feel, reflecting light throughout the space. This project exemplifies how the made-to-measure segment allows for a high level of detail and personalisation, ensuring that each design aspect aligns with the vision of unity and individuality.
READY MADE
Focused on versatility and accessibility, the Ready Made pillar features high-quality standard-sized tiles ideal for larger spaces like retail, airports, or public buildings. This new offering allows larger scale projects with budget restrictions the opportunity to select any of the 600 exclusive stones in the SolidNature catalogue. For this Wanders brings to life Pool, a serene retreat that showcases the beauty of natural stone. Honed Red Monarch marble walls provide a sophisticated backdrop, while Obelisco Dark Travertine tiles—featuring a mix of hammered and sandblasted finishes—add texture and depth. This harmonious space invites reflection, with the tranquil pool serving as a focal point that mirrors the sky. The interplay of materials ensures that the luxurious experience of natural stone is both accessible and practical underscoring the Ready Made pillar’s blend of functionality and aesthetic appeal.
“The introduction of these pillars redefines our approach to working with clients, creating versatile pathways to explore the beauty of natural stone,” says David Mahyari, CEO of SolidNature. “With Imaginarium as our launch series, Marcel Wanders’ work sets a powerful foundation, visualising the unique spirit of each pillar.”
This collaboration marks the beginning of Imaginarium, a larger initiative where globally renowned designers will interpret each of SolidNature’s core offerings, blending art with innovation to expand the possibilities of natural stone.

Marcel Wanders’ chief concern is to bring the human touch back to design, ushering in a ‘new age of design’, in which designer, craftsperson and user are reunited. In this process, Marcel Wanders defies design dogma, preferring instead to focus on holistic solutions rather than the technocratic. In this universe, the coldness of industrialism is replaced instead by the poetry, fantasy and romance of different ages, vividly brought to life in the contemporary moment.
