SolidNature presents 'Elemental House' as part of DecoHub - the world's first virtual immersive platform devoted to interior design and architecture

Amsterdam, 4th December 2023 - Award-winning natural stone brand SolidNature is proud to announce its collaboration with the newly launched digital platform DecoHub, resulting in the creation of the world's first VR interactive surfaces showroom titled Elemental House. This unprecedented venture marks a pivotal moment in the intersection of technology, design, and sustainability.

This visionary project highlights not only the endless possibilities of natural stone but also a commitment to sustainability. SolidNature showcases the beauty of stone without extracting it from the ground, emphasising innovation that aligns with environmental responsibility. From grand residential spaces to smaller-scale interior transformations, and from exterior applications to intricate interior details, SolidNature's project demonstrates the versatility of natural stone for projects of every scale and purpose.

In partnership with architect and 3D artist Alba de la Fuente, SolidNature has created a virtual space where the beauty of natural stone converges with the limitless possibilities of the digital realm. The collaboration pushes the boundaries of traditional design, exploring geometric concepts to redefine physical spaces.

Within SolidNature's virtual space, natural stone takes centre stage, presenting a diverse array of finishing options—polished, honed, bush hammered, and 3D—alongside versatile technique choices. Elemental House’s central concept emulates the intricate stone carving process, transforming a stone cube into a house. The stone cube undergoes a captivating transformation, gradually fracturing through mesmerizing movement, reconfiguring itself into a fully functional house. Notably, the bedroom design features a vibrant Molten Honey Comb Onyx as a bookmatch, while the full bathroom incorporates Cloud Whisper Onyx with backlit walls, adding depth to the overall design.

The transformative initiative goes beyond the ordinary, employing state-of-the-art technology to simulate stone carving within the virtual installation. The result is a distinctive living space that seamlessly blends art, architecture, and nature, turning the mundane into the extraordinary.

Alba de la Fuente, Madrid-based architect and 3D artist, graduated as an architect in 2019. Throughout her career, she has had the opportunity to live and work in iconic cities such as London, Barcelona, and Madrid, collaborating with renowned architects and artists, including Ricardo Bofill, Andres Reisinger, Sabine Marcelis, Tom Dixon, Charlotte Taylor, among others.

Since 2020, Alba has been channeling her expertise in architecture into the realm of 3D design.
